Graduation and Honors for the Mariam Foundation’s "Mariam Joy" Project Guides for the Year 2023/2024 at An-Najah National University Hospital – Nablus

On August 15, 2024, the Mariam Foundation for fighting Cancer held a graduation ceremony for the guides of the "Mariam Joy" project for the year 2023/2024 at An-Najah National University Hospital in Nablus.

The event was attended by various institutions and youth groups that contributed to the success of the project, as well as the CEO of the Mariam Foundation, Mohammad Hamed, and the CEO of An-Najah Hospital, Dr. Mohammad Jaber.


During the ceremony, the guides who dedicated outstanding efforts throughout the year in providing emotional and psychological support to pediatric cancer patients were honored. The achievements of the "Mariam Joy" team were highlighted, showcasing their success in creating a supportive environment for children and their families throughout the treatment journey.

Mohammad Hamed praised the team’s efforts and dedication to the Foundation’s mission, emphasizing their crucial role in improving patients’ lives and the importance of daily companionship as a fundamental right for patients. Dr. Mohammad Jaber, on his part, stressed the importance of daily accompaniment for pediatric patients during their treatment, pointing out the challenges they face and the importance of psychological and emotional support for them.



And the project coordinator, Alaa Awartani, gave a speech expressing her appreciation for the guides, highlighting their skills in handling difficult cases and the challenges they faced throughout the year. Despite these challenges, the guides were like a mother and sister to every patient in the department. She thanked them for the care and attention they provided to the children throughout the year.

The "Mariam Joy" project is one of the prominent projects of the Mariam Foundation for Cancer, focusing on providing emotional and psychological support to children with cancer and their families, including daily companionship in hospitals. This reflects the Foundation’s mission of supporting cancer patients and their families.




We would also like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to the project coordinator, Alaa Awartani, for her significant efforts in coordinating and managing the project in Nablus and organizing this annual event. Her dedication and effective management have been pivotal in the project’s success and in ensuring that the ceremony was conducted in a remarkable manner.

Additionally, we highly value the support provided by An-Najah National University Hospital, its management, and its staff. Their substantial contributions have had a significant impact on the success of the "Mariam Joy" project. They have been true partners in achieving our goals, providing everything necessary to ensure the comfort of the patients and the success of the project..
