To every individual, and especially to every doctor, nurse, institution director, or worker in the healthcare sector, it is essential to maintain their moral compass and uphold the sanctity of their profession, which is centered on preserving human dignity and defending human rights.
Under no circumstances can silence or hesitation be justified; rather, the abduction and detention of Dr. Hussam Abu Safieh, the head of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza, must be unequivocally condemned. Such an act is, in itself, a crime, and remaining silent about this heinous act reflects global hypocrisy, double standards, and a severe erosion of human conscience.
Overlooking such crimes, whether they target the healthcare sector or claim the lives of thousands of innocent members of our people, sets a dangerous precedent for a dark world. It represents a grave risk to future generations, who will grow up in a world dominated by racism and cowardice, where the perception of justice and truth is distorted.
