The Mariam Foundation for Fighting Cancer, in partnership with the Millennium Hotel, organized its charitable evening “Lights of Hope” last night at the Millennium Hotel – Ramallah. The exceptional humanitarian event was marked by a large and notable turnout of dignitaries, representatives of national institutions, supporters, and members of the local community, delivering a powerful message about the importance of solidarity and the foundation’s ongoing role in supporting cancer patients.
During the evening, Mr. Mohammad Hamed, founder of the foundation, delivered a moving speech in which he outlined the foundation’s vision and goals: supporting cancer patients, providing medication and treatment, and offering comprehensive humanitarian assistance, with particular emphasis on cancer patients in Gaza amid the difficult health and humanitarian conditions they face.
The evening featured refined musical performances by Maestro Jihad Shuaibi and the accompanying orchestra, where art played a prominent role in conveying a message of hope and solidarity in a language that reaches the heart.
The foundation also extends its sincere thanks to artist Salah Farroukh for his valuable artistic contribution, through paintings that were offered for sale via a silent auction to support cancer patients—an honorable humanitarian gesture that reflects the role of art in serving noble humanitarian causes.
The Mariam Foundation expresses its deep gratitude and appreciation to the Millennium Hotel – Ramallah for its partnership and support, and to all sponsors and supporters for their trust in the foundation’s mission and their active contribution to advancing its humanitarian goals. The foundation also extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended, participated, and offered support, affirming that this strong turnout reflects the depth of solidarity and social responsibility toward a humanitarian cause that touches us all.
The “Lights of Hope” evening stood as a meaningful and powerful event, sending a clear message that hope does not fade, and that unity and support can make a real difference in the lives of cancer patients—now more than ever.
