In cooperation with Al-Shifa Hospital, the Jenin Association for the Redeemed, and the “So We Do Not Forget” Association, the Mariam Foundation for Cancer Support organized a specialized awareness workshop and a self-care activity on Thursday, 16.10.2025, as part of the Nurse Navigator Project, under the title: “Laughter Yoga and Self-Care for Integrated Mental and Physical Health.”
The awareness lecture was delivered by Dr. Nour Amour and Dr. Haya Al-Sheikh, while the self-care session was conducted by specialist Samar Abu Al-Heija (Self-Care Trainer and Laughter Yoga Instructor).
The audience showed remarkable engagement with the concept of the Nurse Navigator and the importance of her role. Participants also learned about other essential topics such as comprehensive health insurance for cancer patients.
The Mariam Foundation, Al-Shifa Hospital, the Jenin Association for the Redeemed, and the “So We Do Not Forget” Association affirm that such workshops play a vital role in raising health awareness and encouraging women to undergo early screening, as early detection saves lives.
All these efforts aim to change the journey of cancer patients in Palestine.
