Official opening of "Friends of Mariam" in Jordan

A Grand Presence at the Official Launch of “Friends of Mariam” in Jordan under the Patronage of HRH Princess Dina Mired Amman – August 19, 2025

Under the patronage of HRH Princess Dina Mired, the Mariam Foundation launched “Friends of Mariam” in the Jordanian capital, Amman, at the Diwan of the Amman Academy. The event was attended by HRH Prince Mired bin Ra’ad, media figure and poet Zahi Wehbe, along with hundreds of participants from various segments of society.

The conference aimed to host Mr. Mohammad Hamed, founder and president of the Mariam Foundation, who delivered a moving presentation about the story of the foundation’s establishment and its journey. He also highlighted its diverse projects and their significant impact in serving the Palestinian community, in addition to the foundation’s ongoing efforts to support cancer patients in every possible way. The conference also sought to introduce Jordanian society to the foundation’s mission and humanitarian achievements.

The event was presented by journalist Lina Mishrabeh and included artistic performances by artists Uday Naber and Fawz Shqeir. It also featured a distinguished poetry recital by our ambassador, media personality and poet Zahi Wehbe, who deeply touched the audience with his delivery and moving words.

The Mariam Foundation extends its deep gratitude to our ambassador, HRH Princess Dina Mired, who paid attention to even the smallest details to ensure the success of this event, serving as the main motivator and key supporter of the foundation’s efforts in Jordan. The foundation emphasized that her unwavering belief in its mission and her continuous support provide a powerful drive to expand its activities. Special thanks and appreciation are also extended to Ms. Amani Hammad for her efforts in coordination and organization, and to the participating artists, who completed the picture of the conference.

We also express our gratitude to the Diwan of the Amman Academy for the generous hosting, to the Al-Fahoum family for their support, and to everyone who contributed to the success of this event.

The foundation concluded by stressing that this event is only the beginning, as it seeks to expand its presence and initiatives in Jordan, in service of its humanitarian mission to support cancer patients and raise community awareness.
