Nurse Navigator Project- in Jenin

On Thursday, July 31, 2025, the Mariam Foundation for Fighting Cancer organized a community event in Jenin Governorate as part of the "Nurse Navigator" project.

The event featured free mammogram screenings, awareness and educational lectures, and entertainment activities for children. Members of the Mariam Doctors Project and nurses from the Nurse Navigator Project were present to respond to women’s questions and provide medical guidance and consultations. The event received extensive media coverage and witnessed strong community participation, particularly from local women.

The Nurse Navigator Project aims to promote early detection of breast cancer, increase public awareness of the importance of routine screenings, and provide personalized medical and psychosocial support for women across all stages of screening, diagnosis, and treatment, led by qualified, trained nurses.

This activity was organized in collaboration with Augusta Victoria Hospital (AVH), Al-Shifa Hospital, the Jenin Charity Society of the Sincere (JCSS), and the Jenin Governorate.

The project is funded by the Palestinian Medical Relief Society (PMRS), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and the people of Japan.
