Mariam Foundation Organizes an Awareness Day at the Palestine Medical Complex – Ramallah

As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen health awareness and empower the Palestinian community in confronting cancer, the Mariam Foundation for Cancer Support organized an awareness day on Thursday, 6/11/2025, at the Palestine Medical Complex (Ramallah Governmental Hospital), in cooperation with the Palestinian Ministry of Health and with the support of the Arab Islamic Bank.

The awareness day included a series of interactive and educational activities focused on the most common cancers in the country, such as breast cancer and prostate cancer. It featured the distribution of informational leaflets and printed materials, as well as direct conversations with visitors about the importance of early detection and adopting a healthy lifestyle to reduce cancer risks.

The Mariam Foundation emphasized that holding these activities in governmental hospitals is part of its vision to spread health awareness across Palestinian governorates and strengthen partnerships with the Palestinian healthcare sector and local community institutions.

The foundation extends its gratitude to the Palestinian Ministry of Health and the administration of the Palestine Medical Complex, represented by Dr. Murad Barakat and Ms. Ibtisam Shaqour (“Um Khaled”), for their support and continuous dedication to providing the best care for hospital patients. It also expresses appreciation to the Arab Islamic Bank and its volunteers for their generous support of this awareness-filled day.
