The Mariam Foundation, in cooperation with Al-Asriyya University College, organized a breast cancer awareness event on Sunday, 26/10, as part of the Nurse Navigator Project. This project aims to accompany women throughout the screening and diagnostic process, offering psychological and logistical support to enhance early detection and prevention.
The event included:
• An awareness lecture by the Mariam Doctors team on breast cancer and the importance of early detection.
• Participation from Astra Lab, offering free screenings and consultations.
• A lecture and nutritional guidance from clinical nutritionist Seema Bilalta.
• Various activities led by nursing students from Al-Asriyya University College as part of their efforts to promote community health awareness.
The Mariam Foundation and Al-Asriyya University College affirm that such workshops play a crucial role in raising health awareness and encouraging women to undergo early screening, as early detection saves lives. All of these efforts aim to change the journey of cancer patients in Palestine.
