Mariam Foundation, in cooperation with Hospital – Al-Mutala’, organizes “Pink October: Health and Hope” in Ramallah



Ramallah – The Mariam Foundation for Cancer Support, in collaboration with Augusta Victoria Hospital – Al-Mutala’, held the “Pink October: Health and Hope” event at the foundation’s center in Ramallah on Thursday, 23.10.2025, as part of the global breast cancer awareness month.

The event included general medical screenings in cooperation with Astra Lab, mammography testing supervised by the Al-Mutala’ medical team, speech and hearing consultations in collaboration with the Center for Developing Communication Skills, nutritional and health guidance from specialists, and awareness sessions with doctors from the “Mariam Doctors” project on the importance of early detection.

The day was filled with uplifting energy, featuring stress-relief corners through coloring and creative dessert making, along with an interactive musical segment.

In his speech, Mohammad Hamed, Director of the Mariam Foundation, thanked all members of the foundation, partners, and volunteers, emphasizing that “Pink October” is an annual milestone for raising awareness and encouraging women to take the initiative in early screening.

Dr. Fadi Al-Atrash, Director of Al-Mutala’ Hospital, highlighted the increasing awareness among women and announced that the hospital’s next step will be to provide early detection services for women in Gaza, affirming the right of every individual to prevention and treatment.

The event concluded with an atmosphere full of hope and support, reaffirming the Mariam Foundation’s message that awareness and early detection are the first steps toward healing, and that October will always remain a month where hope blossoms into life.
